Jaferaga Mosque

Jaferaga Madrasah, also known as Jafer-aga Madrasah, was built in 1559 in Istanbul by order of Jafer-aga during the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. The building was designed by the great Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan. In 1989, it was converted into a tourist center by the Turkish Cultural Service Foundation, offering 15 rooms for classes and exhibitions, as well as a large lounge and garden.

Jaferaga Madrasah hosts masterclasses in traditional Turkish crafts such as calligraphy, ceramics, jewelry making, and many others. Students from various classes have the opportunity to participate in an annual exhibition where they can present their works, selected by mentors specifically for this event. This place has become popular among tourists and city residents who wish to learn about traditional Turkish crafts and art.
