Jaferaga Mosque. Jaferaga Madrasah, also known as Jafer-aga Madrasah, was built in 1559 in Istanbul by order of Jafer-aga during the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. The building was designed by the great Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan. In 1989, it was converted into a tourist center by the Turkish Cultural Service Foundation, offering 15 rooms for classes and exhibitions, as well as a large lounge and garden.
