Osman Aga Egyptian Fountain

The Osman Aga Fountain, also known as the Egyptian Fountain, is a historical monument located in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul. According to the inscription on the fountain, it was commissioned by Osman Aga from Egypt in the early 17th century. For many years, the fountain was not in use and was moved to a new location as a result of restoration work in the 1980s. Subsequently, a stone element was added to the facade of the fountain, connecting it to the surrounding area. After recent restoration work carried out in 2020, the fountain has resumed its function, attracting tourists and city residents with its beauty and historical significance.
