Khristaty Peak

This mountain, formerly known as Yoshkar-Ola Peak, was renamed in honor of the outstanding climber Valera Khristaty in 2017. The history of this mountain became even more fascinating thanks to Denis Urubko's stories about the first ascent of its West face. Valera Khristaty was not only a famous climber but also a most worthy person, whose name will forever remain in the mountain's history.
