Mirza Riza Khan House

Mirza Riza Khan House, known as "Firuza" or "Turquoise," is an important architectural monument of the late 19th century in the city of Borjomi. This beautiful house was built in 1892 by the Qajar Consul in the Caucasus, General Mirza-Riza-khan, as his summer residence. On the facade of the building, you can see carved decorative patterns with the name of the house, the year of construction, and the owner's name. After Mirza-Riza-khan's death, the house was converted into a hotel, part of the "Firuza" sanatorium, and a museum.

The building has a rectangular shape with extensions and is made of stone. Part of the roof and the central balcony are covered with wood. The main color of the building is blue, and the ceiling of the central balcony is decorated with multi-colored turquoise stones, from which the name "Firuza" originates. This house is not only a symbol of the city of Borjomi but also an important historical site, attracting many tourists and architecture enthusiasts.
