Mtsvane Monastery

The Chitakhevi Church of St. George, also known as Mtsvane Monastery or the "Green Monastery," is a medieval church in Georgia. It is located in the southern part of the country, in the picturesque Borjomi Gorge in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region. After more than two hundred years of oblivion, the monastery was restored in 2003 and has since become a popular destination for tourists and pilgrims. The monastery church and bell tower are included in the list of national cultural monuments of Georgia, which emphasizes their historical and cultural significance for the country.
