Museum of Sericulture

The State Silk Museum of Georgia is a cultural institution located in Tbilisi at 6 Giorgi Tsabadze Street. The museum features over 5000 different types of cocoons, silkworms, and butterflies, as well as samples of mulberry plants, natural and synthetic dyes, and a wide range of silk products, and much more. The museum was founded in 1887 in Tbilisi by the renowned silk specialist and researcher Nikolai Shavrov with the aim of introducing visitors to silk production in the Caucasus.
