Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium

The Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium (Turkish: Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadyumu) is located in Istanbul, in the Kasımpaşa neighborhood, which is in the northeast of the Golden Horn bay. This stadium is the home arena for the football club Kasımpaşa. The stadium's capacity was 9,576 seats, but after reconstruction in 2007-2008, it can now accommodate about 13.5 thousand spectators at matches. The stadium's field is covered with natural grass. The stadium was named in honor of the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who was born in Kasımpaşa.
