Feather Museum

The Pera Museum (Turkish: Pera Müzesi) is a unique gallery located in the historic Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, formerly known as Pera. It is situated near the famous İstiklal Street and Taksim Square. The museum places special emphasis on 19th-century Orientalist art, presented through magnificent collections.

The museum was founded by the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation in 2005 and is housed in the Bristol Hotel building, constructed in 1893. Between 2003 and 2005, the building underwent a complete renovation under the direction of architect Sinan Genim, who preserved and restored its facade while reconfiguring the interior space to accommodate museum exhibitions.
