Tbilisi Botanical Garden

The Tbilisi Botanical Garden is located in the historical center of the city, south of the Sololaki ridge, in the picturesque valley of the Legvtakhevi River. Here you can see a rich diversity of Georgian and world flora, totaling about 3500 species of plants. Three bridges cross the Tsavkisisckali River within the garden, with the arched bridge over a magnificent waterfall, built in 1914, being particularly noteworthy. The main entrance to the garden is at the end of Botanical Street, at the foot of the mountain with the ancient Narikala fortress. The total area of the botanical garden is 128 hectares, making it one of the largest in the region.
