Trialeti Petroglyphs

The Trialeti Petroglyphs are ancient rock art discovered in the historical Georgian region of Trialeti, within the Tsalka Municipality. These petroglyphs were created by various ancient peoples over a long period, from the Mesolithic era to the Middle Bronze Age. They feature diverse depictions, including geometric patterns, as well as images of animals and humans. The Trialeti Petroglyphs are considered an important cultural heritage of Georgia and are part of a cultural route marked by the Council of Europe, called "In the Footsteps of Primitive Rock Art."
