Church of Christ Pantepoptos (Imaret Atik Mosque)

The Church of Christ Pantepoptos, also known as the Church of the All-Seeing, was built in the 11th century in Istanbul and is the only church from this period that has survived to this day. It was built on the initiative of Anna Dalassena, who founded a women's monastery on the fourth hill of Constantinople and dedicated it in honor of Pantepoptos. During the Latin rule in Constantinople (1204-1261), the monastery was managed by Benedictines. After the fall of Constantinople, a madrasa was established in the church next to the Fatih Mosque, which is now known as the Eski Emaret Mosque.
