Haydarpaşa Station. Haydarpaşa (Turkish: Haydarpaşa Garı) is a historic railway station located on the Asian side of Istanbul. It was built between 1906 and 1908 as the starting point for the railway connecting Istanbul to Baghdad. Currently, the station serves not only the city's Asian suburbs but also the entire eastern region of Turkey, including the borders with Armenia, Iran, and Syria.
