Haydarpaşa Station

Haydarpaşa (Turkish: Haydarpaşa Garı) is a historic railway station located on the Asian side of Istanbul. It was built between 1906 and 1908 as the starting point for the railway connecting Istanbul to Baghdad. Currently, the station serves not only the city's Asian suburbs but also the entire eastern region of Turkey, including the borders with Armenia, Iran, and Syria.

The architectural design of the station was developed by German specialists Otto Ritter and Helmut Cuno. The main station building is located on an artificial peninsula extending into the sea, which gives it a unique appearance. Ferries also depart from the station, connecting it to other parts of the city and providing convenient transportation.
