Nikolay Baratashvili Bridge

Baratashvili Bridge is an architectural structure built in the 1960s and located in Tbilisi, Georgia. It spans the Kura River, connecting the Avlabari district with Old Tbilisi and Mtatsminda district. The path across the bridge leads through Freedom Square, Pushkin Street, and Baratashvili Street.

Initially, the bridge was called Mukhrani Bridge or Mukhrani Bridge, after the district on the right bank of the Kura, where the palace of the Bagration-Mukhransky princes was located. However, in 1966, it was given its current name in honor of the famous Georgian poet N. Baratashvili, to reflect his contribution to the culture and history of Georgia.
