Pankisi Gorge. Pankisi Gorge is a picturesque gorge in northern Georgia, located in the Akhmeta municipality of Kakheti. It is situated in the upper reaches of the Alazani River and stretches for 60 km along the Georgian-Russian border, separated from it by a mountain range.
