Süreyya Opera House

Süreyya Opera House, also known as Süreyya Cultural Center, is one of the most famous opera houses in Istanbul, Turkey. The building was designed by Armenian architect Kégham Kavafyan at the request of Istanbul Deputy Governor Süreyya İlmen. In 1927, the First Musical Theatre was founded in the Anatolian part of the city, which later became known as the Süreyya Opera House.
