Shush State Historical-Architectural Reserve

The Shush State Historical-Architectural Reserve is a unique place within the city of Shusha, founded in 1752 by Panah Ali Khan. The city of Shusha was built in several stages, taking into account natural conditions and the surrounding environment. After its territory was incorporated into the Russian Empire, Shusha's development continued, introducing new architectural and cultural elements. The city features numerous madrasahs, mosques, natural springs, and bathhouses, attesting to its rich historical heritage. Shusha was also renowned for its caravanserais, which served as an important hub for international trade and a resting place for travelers.
