Çamlıca Mosque

Currently the largest mosque in Turkey, the Grand Çamlıca Mosque, also known as Büyük Çamlıca Camii, stands as a significant symbol of the Islamic religion. It was completed and opened on March 7, 2019, atop Çamlıca Hill in Istanbul's Üsküdar district. Visible from much of the city center, the mosque is not only a place of worship but also a hub for cultural activities. The complex also houses an art gallery, a library, and a conference hall, making it a venue for education and community engagement. The mosque has a capacity of up to 63,000 people, but in case of an emergency, such as an earthquake, it can accommodate up to 100,000 people, providing a safe haven for worshippers.
