Beylerbeyi Palace Museum. Beylerbeyi Palace, also known as Beylerbeyi Sarayi, was built on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus as a summer residence for the sultans of the Ottoman Empire. Commissioned by Sultan Abdulaziz and constructed in the Neo-Baroque style between 1861 and 1865, the palace blends elements of a traditional Ottoman house with modern architectural solutions.
