Burhaniye Mosque

Burhaniye Mosque, located at the intersection of Evneriye and Burhaniye Abdullahaga streets in Uskudar-Burhaniye, was built in 1901 by the decree of Sultan II. The construction was carried out by the order of Sultan Abdulhamid himself.

This historic temple began restoration in July 2017 and is currently closed for prayers. It is planned that the work will be completed by the autumn of 2019, so that believers can once again visit the holy place.

The mosque, which has only one minaret and one balcony, was built in the early 20th century and is also known as the Abdul Hamid Mosque. Its architectural style and historical significance make it an important cultural heritage site in the region.
