Muderris Abdulbaki Efendi Mosque

Muderris Abdulbaki Efendi Mosque, also known as Baki Efendi Mosque, is a historical monument from the Ottoman Empire era, located in the Sultanpe district of Uskudar, Istanbul. This magnificent temple was built by Muderris Abdulbaki Efendi, a renowned qadi from Izmir and Aleppo, who was the son-in-law of Aziz Mahmud Hudayi and the son of Tiriyak Hasan Pasha. The construction of the mosque began in 1644, and it was opened for prayers in the same year. Architecturally, the mosque reflects classical Ottoman styles and decorations. Over time, the temple was damaged but was restored in 1877 and 1965 to preserve its beauty and historical significance.
