Bosphorus Bridge

The large suspension bridge across the Bosphorus Strait is an important structure that connects two continents, Europe and Asia, and provides vehicular traffic between them. The second suspension bridge across the Bosphorus was built by Japanese builders according to a British project, which emphasizes international cooperation in the construction of such large-scale facilities.

The length of the bridge is 1510 meters, the main span is 1090 meters, the width is 39 meters, and the height reaches 165 meters. The bridge has 8 lanes for traffic, as well as 2 spare lanes, which ensures comfortable movement of vehicles.

On a weekday morning, 5 lanes are open for westbound traffic and 3 for eastbound, and in the evening the situation reverses. This allows for efficient regulation of traffic flow and ensures safety on the bridge at different times of the day.
