Emirgan Hamid-i Evvel Mosque

The mosque in the Emirgan neighborhood of the Sarıyer district in the European part of Istanbul was built by Abdul Hamid I in 1779-1780 for his princes Mehmet and his mother Hümaşah Hatun. This historical complex included not only the mosque but also a square fountain, which still stands on the grounds, as well as a bathhouse, bakery, and mill, which unfortunately have not survived to this day. This mosque is an important monument of Istanbul's architecture and history, attracting tourists and researchers from all over the world.
