Gtichavank Monastery

Gtichavank is an ancient Armenian monastery built in the 13th century in the Khojavend district of Azerbaijan, near the village of Tug (Togh). According to the administrative division of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, the monastery is located in the Hadrut region. The main building of the monastery was constructed between 1241 and 1246 and is a cross-domed church with corner rooms. The architectural style of Gtichavank is similar to other Armenian monasteries of that period, such as Dadivank and Gandasar.
