Nusretiye Mosque

The Nusretiye Mosque is a magnificent structure built by Sultan Mahmud II in the Tophane district of Istanbul, Turkey. This temple was erected between 1822 and 1826 by order of the Sultan following his victory over the Janissaries in 1826. The mosque's name, "Nusretiye," means "victory" and symbolizes Mahmud II's triumph over his enemies. The construction of this building was completed in the year of his victory, making it even more significant in Turkish history.
