Ruins of Antiochus' Palace

Antiochus' Palace was built in the early 5th century in Constantinople, the capital of Byzantium, which is known today as Istanbul, Turkey. This palace was known for its luxurious structure and was excavated in the 1940s and 1950s near the Hippodrome of Constantinople. Some remains of the palace can still be seen. In the 7th century, part of the palace was converted into a martyrdom church of Saint Euphemius at the Hippodrome.
