St. Nicholas Church. St. Nicholas Church is a temple of the Georgian Orthodox Church, located in Tbilisi within the Narikala fortress. The modern building of the church was constructed in 1996 on the site of excavations of the foundation of an older religious structure, which was discovered in 1966. The new temple was consecrated in 1997 by Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II.
