Tbilisi History Museum

The Tbilisi History Museum, named after Joseph Grishashvili, is an important cultural institution in Tbilisi. It is located at 8 Sioni Street and occupies a three-story building. The first floor houses shops selling souvenirs. The second floor features the museum's permanent exhibition, while the third floor hosts temporary exhibitions dedicated to contemporary artists and other themes.

The museum holds over 50,000 exhibits, including a collection of models of old houses, and examples of 19th-century clothing, furniture, and tableware. The museum building, known as the Artsruni Caravanserai, was built in 1818 and was one of the city's important trading centers at the time. The museum's permanent exhibition primarily narrates the history of Tbilisi in the 19th century, immersing visitors in the atmosphere of that era.
