Marmara University Mosque

The Marmara Mosque, also known as the Abdullah Tivnikli Tevrikat Mosque and the Cultural Center of the Marmara University Faculty of Theology, is an important cultural and religious center in the Üsküdar district of Istanbul. It was built on the site of an old mosque that was demolished due to earthquake risks. Located on the campus of Marmara University in Üsküdar Bağlarbaşı, the mosque was opened for worship on October 23, 2015. With its architecture designed by Hilmi Şenalp, it is one of the most modern and significant mosques in Turkey. Together with the square in front of it and the cultural center beneath it, it covers an area of approximately 30,000 m2 and can accommodate up to 3,600 people.
