Surp Garabed Church

Surp Garabed Church was built at the end of the 16th century. According to legend, builders from Van and Mush came to Uskudar to build a mosque, but instead built this church. In 1617, the building was renovated with the participation of priest Zakaria from Van. The third renovation of the church was carried out by Patriarch Hovhannes IX in 1727, in accordance with the architecture developed by Sarkis Kalfa during the Famine period.
