Yeni Valide Mosque. Yeni Valide Mosque, also known as Yeni Valide Camii, was built in the 18th century in the Üsküdar district of Istanbul, Turkey. Construction began in 1708 and was completed in 1710 by order of Sultan Ahmed III in honor of his mother, Emetullah Rabia Gülnuş Sultan. The mosque complex includes a hospice, an arasta, a primary school, a sultan's tomb, a courtyard with a fountain, a clock tower, and offices.
