Rumi Mehmed Pasha Mosque

Rumi Mehmed Pasha Mosque, also known as Rum Mehmet Pasha Jamii in Turkish, is an ancient Ottoman mosque located in the large and densely populated district of Üsküdar in Istanbul, Turkey. This mosque is situated near the Bosphorus waterfront and other historical mosques such as Şemsi Pasha, Yeni Valide, and Mihrimah Sultan, which are also located in the Üsküdar district. The Rumi Mehmed Pasha Mosque was the first mosque built on the Asian (Anatolian) side of Istanbul after the conquest and collapse of the Eastern Roman Empire. This historical structure holds great significance for the local population and tourists visiting Istanbul.
