Şemsi Ahmed Pasha Mosque

Şemsi Ahmed Pasha Mosque, also known as Kushkonmaz, is located in the Üsküdar district of Istanbul. It was built in honor of Şemsi Ahmed Pasha, who was a prominent governor of Anatolia and Rumelia and served at the court of Sultan Suleiman I. The mosque complex also includes the tomb of Şemsi Ahmed Pasha, a madrasa, a cemetery, and a courtyard. The mosque is decorated with mosaics and has arched tops on its casement windows. Additionally, a minaret has been added to the prayer hall, located on the southwest corner.
